Peer Review Policy
Peer Review Policy – Journal of VLSI Circuits and Systems
The Journal of VLSI Circuits and Systems follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of all published work. This process reflects our commitment to academic excellence in the fields of VLSI design, circuits, and system architectures.
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Each manuscript must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor conducts an initial review to verify:
- relevance to journal scope
- compliance with formatting requirements
- originality (plagiarism screening)
- clarity and technical soundness
Manuscripts not meeting these criteria may be rejected at this stage.
A preliminary decision is typically provided within 10–14 days.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass screening are sent to two to three independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area.
Review Process:
- Reviewers remain anonymous.
- Authors remain anonymous to reviewers.
- Review typically takes 30 days, depending on reviewer availability.
Reviewers provide:
- constructive comments,
- scientific evaluation,
- recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, reject).
4. Author Revision
If revisions are requested, authors are given up to 30 days to submit the revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response to reviewer comments.
Revisions may be returned to reviewers for re-evaluation in cases of substantial changes.
5. Final Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection after considering:
- reviewer recommendations
- author revisions
- overall scientific contribution
6. Acceptance and Production
Upon acceptance:
- authors receive an official acceptance letter,
- the manuscript undergoes copyediting, formatting, and quality checks (approx. 21 days),
- authors complete proofreading within 7 days,
- the final version is published online according to journal guidelines
7. Confidentiality and Ethics
All manuscripts, reviews, and editorial discussions remain confidential.

Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Manuscripts with conflicts affecting impartial evaluation will be reassigned.
